For Milan, the most exciting stories have always been the ones that play like movies in your head. Off to Hollywood he went, to write motion pictures. Ideally ones with high stakes and buried treasures, mistaken identities and hidden agendas, maybe even daring escapes from exploding volcanos. But he quickly realized an unproduced screenplay is a movie with an audience of one and decided to bring stories to life in people’s minds the traditional way—without the aid of moving pictures.
Milan’s past exploits away from fiction writing include working as a home entertainment QA consultant for Twentieth Century Fox, MGM, and Paramount on some of the most successful movies and TV shows of all time, blogging for a major German news and entertainment website about his emigration experience, and writing a master’s thesis about neo-slave narratives.
After growing up in Germany, he has made the United States of Americans his home for the last couple of decades. USA! USA! He lives with his wife, his son, and his hard-of-hearing Miniature Schnauzer on the Westside of Los Angeles and enjoys French wine, Italian food, Japanese electronics, German cars, and American movies.
